Day 1 and 2
Hola from Texas! Where everything is indeed far bigger then it needs to be.
DAY 1
This was a travel day for me, taking two planes and I can't complain. Everything went as smoothly as it could and I ate a lot of peanut butter crackers. A picked me up and promptly went out for some first class bbq. It was awesome and there was a giant mirrored statue of an armadillio. I have pictures. We watched the Olympics and then went to sleep.
DAY 2
We woke up and scooted out to an IHOP for some traditional breakfast. Then out to the Space Center which was awesome. The best bit was a tram tour that took us to the original mission control. Sitting in the seats that the families of the astronauts would wait in. Also, one of the unused Apollo ships sits in an airplane hanger. It's size is unconvievable. The only snag was that our tour guide was a junior high school teacher of the worst kind and sat right behind us complaining about the rain getting in her pants.
I did take a lot of pictures, but I figure I'll upload them all at once when we get back.
